Live In Housekeeper / Cook / Carer - Algarve, Portugal

Our client is seeking a mature live in Housekeeper / Carer with Cooking skills to look after their main residence, and the day to day running of their beautiful home.

The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and responsible, and enjoy maintaining a welcoming environment, caring for 3 adults (the main Principals who are British, and the long term PA) . He is is semi disabled but still able to walk etc so some care is required when wife not available. This is an informal home; relaxed with a friendly atmosphere.

Please note that some household members smoke, therefore happy for someone to be a smoker and/or must be 100% aok to live in a smoking household.

Must also be pet friendly, as daughter occasionally leaves well trained family dog at the property in the summer months.

In addition to helping the full time Housekeeper, we would ask for a confident ‘home style’ cook who enjoys preparing light meals, some baking ie cookies, muffins etc, and work with the Principal each week on menu planning, shopping and stock control, along with light housekeeping supporting the daily housekeeper.

Days / Hours

  • 6 day week

  • Working days are: Monday to Thursday, Saturday & Sunday (Fridays off)

Salary:

Salary €12,180 per annum / 12 month rolling contract including Holiday entitlement of 28 days paid holiday per year including bank holidays.

All living expenses are covered including utilities, food and drink, with a lovely bedroom provided with ensuite bathroom in a stunning villa and location (Lagos Portugal).

You will be a confident driver, and have the legal right to work in Europe, DBS/Police clearance and recent and checkable references.

Weekend Housekeeper / Companion - Wimborne, Dorset

Seeking a professional Housekeeper to work on a self employed ad hoc basis, mainly at the weekends, and on average 2 weekends per month.  

This individual will need to not only be a good housekeeper, but be a touch point for a teenager who will be at the property. Ideally a maternal figure with previous experience with children (either childcare or their own older children), and presents with common sense and happy to work independently.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Being the main touch point for the teenager (but mainly leaving them to their own devices)

  • Making sure meals are prepared as required, laying the table and served up, taken away, washed up

  • Ad hoc tasks like liaising with the Chefs on changing requirements (i.e. should friends suddenly be coming to dinner or to stay)

  • Making sure all laundry is done

  • Feeding the dogs

  • Locking up at end of the day and stay overnight in lovely onsite accommodation

  • There is a possibility of also travelling to Surrey and London, on occasion.

  • Drive with own vehicle - petrol allowance when travelling to other locations.

Travelling Private Chef – Rota, UK

Our HNW client is seeking a highly experienced, discreet, and reliable Travelling Private Chef to undertake cooking for a family of 3 persons - preparing healthy, nutritional meals using fresh produce sourced from local suppliers.

You will be cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family and preparing lunch for household staff up to 15 persons (dinner in the evening is prepared by an external chef so just needs warming up and sides prepared). And, you will be responsible for planning menus along with the occasional dinner party.

Our clients are looking for someone who is passionate about food, who has a desire for healthy living, and experienced in catering for various dietary requirements for guests etc. NB: One member of the family is Vegetarian.

The Chef will be responsible for overall maintenance and management of all the kitchens when on duty – some family style kitchens, others commercial - including hygiene, cleanliness, H&S.

Hours:  

7.30am – 7/8pm with some flexibility – 1 week on / 1 week off (there is some flexibility on this)

 Package / Salary:

£65-70k gross pa, plus discretionary Annual Bonus, Company pension and Statutory Entitlements, and Petrol Allowance. Accommodation is in staff cottages with own bedroom, nearby B&B and/or depending on location, return home in the evenings.

 Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Private Chef preferred, but not essential, with proven longevity in previous roles.

  • Experience working in UHNW homes advantageous

  • Should be based within a commutable distance in South East or West

  • Passion for healthy cooking

  • Proactive self-starter who can work autonomously

  • DBS-checked & recent checkable references

  • Happy to use own car and possess Driving Licence

Daily Housekeeper - Fulham, London

We are seeking a daily Housekeeper for our lovely clients based in Fulham, to maintain their contemporary 3 storey family home.

Along with housekeeping, you will be required to offer simple cooking and able to follow recipes, so confidence in kitchen is a real plus and enjoy cooking.

You will also be required to do all laundry and provide wardrobe management, organising cupboards, running household errands such as dry cleaning, shopping etc. and ensuring all inventory is fully stocked up in house. You will also liaise with suppliers and contractors, and deal with visitors at the door etc.

Ideal Candidate will possess excellent housekeeping references from similar household, with proven longevity, excellent time management and ability to work autonomously with a high attention to detail, be discreet and confidential, with good spoken english.

You will have right to work in UK, and possess a full, clean UK driving licence and comfortable driving in London. This is non negotiable as car needed for errands.
