Live In Housekeeper / Cook - Algarve, Portugal

Our client is seeking a mature live in Housekeeper with Cooking skills to look after their residence, and day to running of their beautiful home.

The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and responsible, and enjoy maintaining a welcoming environment, caring for 3 adults (one who is semi disabled but still able to walk etc) in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Please note that some household members smoke, therefore happy for someone to be a smoker. Must also be pet friendly, as daughter occasionally leaves well trained family dog at the property in the summer months.

A confident ‘home style’ cook who enjoys preparing light meals, some baking, menu planning, shopping and stock control, along with light housekeeping supporting the daily housekeeper.

Days / Hours

  • 6 day week

  • Monday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (Fridays off)

Salary:

Full Portuguese statutory entitlements, with standard living wage of €870 per month (€12,180 annually) before tax.

All living expenses are covered including utilities, food and drink, with a lovely bedroom provided with ensuite bathroom in a stunning villa and location (Lagos Portugal).

You will be a confident driver, and have the legal right to work in Europe, DBS/Police clearance and recent and checkable references.

Canine Dog Carer - Kensington, London

Our client is seeking an experienced Canine Carer with vast experience working with household dogs, and other family pets.

Based at the family property, there will be some limited travel requirements for this position, so UK or EU passport holders may only apply. 

You will attend to the individual needs of the family pets, making their environment as comfortable as possible and manage the daily feeding, medications, ordering of food, treats and supplies, grooming along with dog walking and pet training, cleaning pet areas, litter trays and enclosures, vet appointments etc.

When family travelling, plan transport, pack pet supplies and medication etc, and keep all travel documents up to date for the canines and kennels organisation, including arranging collection and drop-off.

Schedule / Salary Package

The working schedule is 5 days on and two days off, shifts cover 7 days per week and usually between 7.30am and 6pm (Flexibility is required for the operation of the household and around the pets and principal’s events.)

£45,000 gross pa plus statutory holiday entitlement, enrolment into workplace pension and discretionary bonus.

Good written and spoken English essential, ideally with dog qualifications or previous experience in the handling of dogs and pets in a formal capacity. DBS clearance or happy to apply, recent and checkable references and ability to start asap.

Daily Rota Housekeeper - Kensington, London

Our private client is looking for a formally trained housekeeper with minimum 5 - 10 years previous experience in London prime properties, or experience working within 5* luxury  hotels or residences.

The housekeeper will be a team player, happy to work on rota within a small domestic team, and comply with such instructions consistent with the position reporting to the Head Housekeeper and the House Manager.

You will be organised with a real eye for details, taking pride in your job and willing to go the extra mile, ensuring exceptional housekeeping services. Must be comfortable working around children and family pets.

Must have an understanding and experience handling high fashion and all associated laundry and wardrobe management ie pressing, storing, organising, packing suitcases, unpacking etc.

Some European travel will also be required, therefore flexibility to travel is necessary and must have a UK or EU passport, with current DBS.

Working pattern, Holiday and Overtime

  • 5  days per week / 2 days off

  • Shifts covering the hours of 7am and 9pm, with a rotation of early (7am-3pm), middle (9am-6pm), and late afternoon (1pm-9pm) shift pattern.

  • Statutory holiday entitlement of 20 days annual leave plus English Bank and Public Holidays.

  • Additional day of holiday in lieu if any additional days are worked.

Salary and Package

  • Salary range  £48k - £55,000 gross pa DOE

  • Enrolment to the workplace pension scheme

  • Discretionary annual bonus.
