Nanny / Housekeeper – Finchley, London
/Our lovely clients are seeking an experienced Nanny and Housekeeper with substantial experience in caring for newborns. The family comprises working parents, with their daughter expected to arrive in March 2026. The mother intends to resume a hybrid work schedule four weeks postpartum, resulting in a role that will involve both shared and sole responsibilities.
The position necessitates a confident Nanny capable of managing daily routines, including feeding, diapering, bathing, and establishing bedtime procedures, along with related nursery duties. During working hours, the Nanny will maintain close communication with the mother regarding the child's wellbeing and development. When not engaged in childcare responsibilities, the role also involves assisting with light household tasks such as housekeeping, filing and laundry, ensuring the smooth operation of the household.
Responsibilities:
Daily Care: Feeding, changing diapers, bathing, dressing, managing naps, and handling bedtime routines
Health & Safety: Administering medication as needed, ensuring a clean environment, and knowing first aid/CPR.
Nursery Duties: Child-focused cleaning (toys, play areas, laundry, bottles) and organising child’s laundry, washing etc.
Meals & Snacks: Preparing nutritious meals, accommodating allergies, and cleaning up after mealtimes.
Development: Engaging the baby with play, songs, reading, and crafts, supporting milestones and independence.
Activities & Outings: Organising age appropriate playdates, taking trips to the park, and attending appointments.
Communication: Providing regular updates to parents on the baby's day, mood, and progress.
Light housekeeping and laundry duties

Flexibility to fit in at times, with the parents last minute work schedules
Hours / Package:
Monday to Friday 8/9am to 5/6pm, with flexibility around parents work schedule / commitments
Salary £45 - £65,000 gross pa DOE & Qualifications
Permanent UK contract including full statutory entitlement
The role would suit an individual seeking a long-term role, to support the family through to preschool years. Ideally with an easy commute to North London, some Childcare qualifications and/or extensive Newborn experience, up to date First Aid, Enhanced DBS (or willing to undertake), right to work in UK, along with recent and checkable references.
