Private Chauffeur - Kensington, London

Our private clients are looking to hire a private chauffeur to provide safe, discreet, and punctual transportation. The role combines high‑level driving competence with impeccable personal presentation, logistical awareness, and the ability to operate within a private household or UHNW environment, and maintaining a consistently high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Driving & Transport Management — Provide safe, smooth, and punctual transport for the principal, family members, and guests across London and occasional regional or international locations.

  • Route Planning — Monitor traffic, weather, and security considerations to select optimal routes; adjust plans dynamically to avoid delays.

  • School Runs — Manage daily school drop‑offs and collections for children in the household, ensuring punctuality, safeguarding awareness, and coordination with parents, nannies, or household staff. Maintain discretion at school gates and follow any security protocols relating to children’s movements.

  • Vehicle Care — Maintain all assigned vehicles to showroom standard, including daily checks, cleaning, fuelling, tyre pressure, fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

  • Scheduling & Coordination — Liaise with household staff, PAs, security teams, and external service providers to ensure seamless daily movements.

  • Security Awareness — Maintain situational awareness, follow agreed security protocols, and uphold strict confidentiality at all times.

  • Errands & Support Duties — Assist with luggage handling, deliveries, collections, and occasional personal errands as required.

  • Record Keeping — Maintain accurate logs of mileage, servicing, repairs, and expenses.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Professional driving experience in a private household, UHNW, corporate, or diplomatic setting.

  • Clean UK driving licence with an excellent safety record.

  • Strong knowledge of London roads, airports, and VIP access points.

  • Experience handling luxury vehicles (e.g., Mercedes S-Class, Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce).

  • Discretion and confidentiality as core professional values.

  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, polished manner.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with short‑notice changes.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to anticipate the principal’s needs.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Advanced driving certification (e.g., RoSPA, IAM, or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working alongside close protection or security teams.

  • Basic mechanical understanding to identify and escalate vehicle issues

Working Conditions:

  • Full‑time position, 48 hours a week, with variable hours depending on the principal’s schedule

  • Based primarily in London with occasional travel.

  • Smart casual dress code.

  • Overtime, weekend work, and late finishes should be expected.

    Package details:

  • Salary £50,000-£60,000 gross pa DOE.

  • Statutory Holiday Entitlement

  • Must have recent and easily checkable references from former employers

  • Current DBS and right to work in UK.

  • Start date end March
