Personal Protection Officer / Head Driver - Part Time - London

We are seeking a Personal Protection Driver with a Royal & Specialist Protections (RaSP’s) background – Elite Police or Armed Forces, with experience providing a high level of Close Protection and Driving (Please do not apply, unless you meet the above criteria).

The role would suit a retired Officer seeking to return to work on PART TIME basis, or an individual who is happy to undertake other jobs around this clients’ requirements understanding that this client takes first priority above all else.

The Principals require this person to be available for 100 days per annum (the Principals have two or three trips per annum, usually two to three weeks per trip), and one other member of the family who uses up the rest of the days. Planning of visits are scheduled in advance, with sufficient advance warning of your work schedule.

The individual will have sublime planning and driving skills to ensure clients are delivered safely and in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of service and needs are fully met. Full flexibility with your work schedule is required when on duty, which may also require long days including weekends.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Previous driving experience working for VIP/Royal families in a protective role.

Live in Property Manager - Surrey, UK

A professional, proactive, tech-savvy Property Manager is sought to live full time in a property used as a weekend and holiday residence, situated on approximately 5 acres of land.

This 7 bedroom house is currently being renovated with work due to complete by early summer: project management of the final stages will be the initial focus of this role, turning towards a House Manager role on completion.

Duties include:

  • Manage post-renovation tasks, including coordination with design team for rolling fit out, overseeing commissioning of smart home technology, managing contractors, snagging

  • Oversight of security of the property, including CCTV and alarms

  • Property management and general repairs, overseeing contractors as required

  • Maintenance of household vehicles and some driving duties

  • Manage/coordinate housekeeping

  • Support for London property (main residence) from time to time

  • Some sole charge of teenage children and dog that may include overnight stays

Whilst the household is relaxed and informal, high standards, reliability and discretion are essential.

Working days: 5 days a week to include weekends when family in residence, with 2 consecutive days off in the week. 40 hours per week

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 gross per annum, depending on skills and experience

Annual leave: 28 days’ paid holiday, including bank holidays

Chauffeur - St Johns Wood, London

Our HNW client is seeking a private chauffeur for a busy, young family with 4 children. As the family has grown, they are now in need of a second driver to work alongside the existing team and help support their increasingly busy schedules.

The current chauffeur has been with the family for many years which is testament to good employers. The role will start off in Knightsbridge but will be relocating to St John’s Wood in the summer.

Role and Responsibilities

The role will largely be assisting the female principal and young daughters:

  • Driving the principals to appointments, including school runs

  • Errand running for the principals and household staff

  • Liaise with the household to anticipate needs

  • Ensure cars are regularly valeted

  • Effectively manage MOTs and services

  • Manage general car maintenance and ad-hoc issues

  • Liaise with the family’s EA as necessary. Reporting incidents that may affect the insurance policy, requesting assistance with paying vehicle tax or fines

  • Assist with booking additional vehicles for airport transfers

  • Good knowledge of London roads

  • Willingness to assist with minor maintenance around the home

Asst. Handyman/Gardener/Estate Management - Surrey

We are seeking an Assistant Estate Supervisor reporting directly to the Estate Supervisor, to primarily assist with the following:

  • The smooth functioning of the principal residences and additional smaller support properties in Surrey, Central London and Dorset.

  • Carrying out unskilled repairs and preventative maintenance of the properties to the highest possible standard.

  • Overseeing and supervising contractors at the properties and supporting renovations as required. 

  • Providing support with all household matters including but not limited to technology, engineering & maintenance contracts, construction projects, pool/spa maintenance, landscaping, lutron/crestron lighting controls and heating and cooling systems etc.

  • Identifying efficiencies and savings to the running costs where possible.

  • The daily maintenance and cleanliness of the pool car.

  • The upkeep of the garden and outside features when required.

    Responsible for:

  • Conducting regular safety checks on household safety equipment ensuring records are accurately maintained.

  • Checking and assessing defects recorded in the property’s defects book.

  • Being the secondary point of contact for members of the Family Office, household staff, suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors for property maintenance.

  • Regularly travelling between properties to check and assess condition of all aspects of the properties, carry out minor maintenance and repairs where necessary and to report finding to the Estate Supervisor.

  • Assist in keeping the grounds clear of any dog / animal fouling.

  • Deputising for the Estate Supervisor during periods of absence.

Experience & Quals:

  • It will be an advantage if candidates possess a trades qualification and have an understanding of other trade skills.

  • Project management experience welcomed.

  • An understanding of UK Health and Safety and statutory regulations.

  • An understanding and experience of listed buildings and statutory regulations associated with the undertaking of works to properties and services.

  • Advantageous to have previous experience in private homes, deluxe or boutique hotels or Museums and Galleries – indeed any properties where great emphasis has been given not only to cutting edge E&M and IT/AV systems but also the soft and hard finishes, art, antiques along with fixtures and fittings.

Core Skills & Knowledge:

  • Must have right to work in UK, with current DBS clearance (or happy to apply), and clean UK Driving Licence.

  • Must have recent and easily checkable references.

Package:

  • Monday – Friday predominantly working in Surrey and London properties, and occasional in Dorset property for the day (most likely twice a month).

  • Salary £35,000 - £38,000 gross pa DOE & Quals, plus statutory holiday entitlements & pension.

Daily or Live In Housekeeper / Cook - Devon, UK

Our lovely client, a large family with 5 children are seeking a housekeeper for this busy family home, to start asap.

This is a traditional housekeeping role in a rural location with chickens and other animals. Must be someone who likes this type of lifestyle, happy to feed the chickens and tend to the veges etc., and of course child friendly.

You will tend to the day to day cleaning and laundry, and ideally enjoy helping with simple family cooking, preserving and storing produce from the vegetable farm, ie making jams and chutneys, pickling vegetables, fermentation (e.g. kimchi, sauerkraut), general jarring and storing fruits and vegetables so they keep well and occasional cooking - helping with meal preparation - strictly ethical, seasonal and organic foods of the highest quality.

The property has other staff including groundskeepers, handymen and a PA, with both parents at home during the day.

Separate accommodation is offered if live in, with a modern and clean cottage away from the main house, comprising open kitchen–living room, double bedroom, bathroom.  It would also be ideal that the Housekeeper has her own car to get around and/or view to buying a run around car.
