Live-Out Daily Housekeeper – St John’s Wood, London

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Live-Out Housekeeper to join a lovely family in a large, high-spec 5-bedroom home in St John’s Wood (set over 4 floors, no lift).

The Family
A warm, busy household with three children (one living at home). The principals travel frequently, so flexibility and independence are key.

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5:30pm

  • Occasional evenings (up to 8pm, with later start)

  • Occasional weekend support (with time off in lieu)

Salary & Benefits

  • £50,000–£55,000 DOE (flexible for the right candidate)

  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Overtime or time off in lieu for extra hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall care and smooth running of the household

  • High-standard housekeeping (with support from a cleaner 3x per week)

  • Cooking healthy, Mediterranean-style meals (lunch/supper most days + occasional dinner parties)

  • Weekly shopping & household errands

  • Managing deliveries, meeting contractors & greeting guests

  • Dog care: daily walk for a friendly Labradoodle + occasional weekend/overnight care

  • Overseeing contractors and maintaining household organisation

Ideal Candidate

  • Flexible and happy to adapt to the family’s schedule

  • Positive, friendly, “can-do” attitude

  • Confident cook with an interest in healthy cuisine

  • Comfortable with dogs

  • Non-smoker

  • Strong English communication skills

  • Willing to travel to the family’s France home for 2–3 weeks (summer)

Additional

  • Occasional overnight stays when the family travels (for house/dog care) preferred

  • Kennel option available if needed

  • Trials July / Start early August 2026

Must have clear English and communication skills, have right to work in UK and DBS clearance (or happy to apply) along with longevity in previous private roles, recent and checkable references.
